With the evocative title “To the East. The Miraculous Voyage of Marco Polo,” the Venice Carnival 2024 – fram January 27 to February 13 – celebrates the 700th anniversary of the death of the now legendary author of “Il Milione,” Marco Polo, on January 8, 1324.
The quintessential Venetian merchant and traveler returns to the lagoon as a protagonist, bringing with him the theme of travel, discovery and encounters with new and different worlds, but also travel understood as a journey to rediscover oneself.
The official events of the Venetian Carnival are promoted and coordinated by the City of Venice, which makes the official program known a few days before the start of the event. It is recommended to return to this page for further updates.
