In addition to the rich permanent collections and the prestigious museums, Veneto offers many very interesting temporary exhibitions, internationally renowned, in every season.
Venice is conveniently connected with the whole region and visiting one of the other splendid cities of Veneto is an excellent idea.
BASSANO DEL GRAPPA

Dorothea Lange. On the Road to Los Angeles, California. March 1937
Dorothea Lange. The other America
Dorothea Lange (1895 -1965), the celebrated American photographer, introduced herself in her business card as “Photographer of the people.” Because the bourgeois Dorothea was just that: not the photographer of the stars or tycoons, but of the ordinary people affected by the Great Depression whom she portrayed with extreme humanity and participation. In nearly 200 shots, the exhibition is a fascinating journey that, with the presentation of the shots Lange took to find the perfect photo, will enable the audience to understand the process by which an icon is born.

Tina Modotti, Concha Michel e i suoi assistenti all’inaugurazione della Escuela Libre
TINA MODOTTI. L’opera
Another legendary photographer on display with more than 300 shots including some previously unpublished in Italy: from images that tell the story of society and work in 1920s Mexico, to the reconstruction of the only 1929 exhibition dedicated to her and organized by her, to rare works that tell of her wandering in many countries. It is the opportunity to investigate more her production than her life, as has been done so far, or at least to reconnect with it because, today more than ever, Tina Modotti is her photography.

BANKSY, Flag (silver), 2006
AMERICAN BEAUTY. Da Robert Capa a Banksy
American Beauty is a rose as beautiful as it is fragile. The crimson petals endure for a long time but their stem soon rots. This is the symbol borrowed for an exhibition of 130 works that chronicle the light and shadows of the United States, the nation that more than any other has shaped the last century globally. Photographs by masters such as Henri Cartier-Bresson, Robert Capa, Steve McCurry and Annie Leibovitz, introduce the section devoted to painting, from the masters of pop-art from Andy Warhol to the protagonists of street art Keith Haring or Banksy.
One hundred U.S. years read and interpreted through images.

GIORGIO DE CHIRICO. Metafisica continua
The exhibition anticipates the centenary celebrations of Surrealism born in 1924, a movement of which Giorgio de Chirico was elected, unbeknownst to him, progenitor by founder André Breton, who elected him, with his early metaphysical paintings, as the foundation of the new movement. The selection of works presents 71 works, with a focus on de Chirico’s Neo-Metaphysical season (1965 – 78), in which the artist returned to themes developed fifty years earlier, presenting not only paintings but drawings, watercolors, sculptures and lithographs.

TREVISO
FUTURISMO DI CARTA. Forme dell’avanguardia nei manifesti della Collezione Salce
In the deep mine of historical posters in the Salce Collection, a very rich vein of gold opens up, namely the graphic declination of Futurist art. Painting and sculpture of the most important Italian avant-garde are well known, while advertising posters are a niche sector with their own language and specificity and forming the substratum of Fortunato Depero‘s prophecy “the art of the future will be powerfully advertising.” Artists in the exhibition include, in addition to Depero himself, Mario Sironi, Marcello Dudovich, Federico Seneca, Marcello Nizzoli, Gino Boccasile and many others. In March the exhibition will continue with a second part.
