To Venice Lagoon crossing the Alps: daily trains from Austria and Germany

The Austrian Railways (ÖBB) offer daily connections by train from Austria and Germany to Venice for those who want to get directly to the Canal Grande travelling in a safe, quick and comfortable way.

ÖBB Connections:
Railjet: Vienna – Klagenfurt – Villach – Udine – Pordenone – Treviso – Venice
Nightjet: Vienna – Linz – Villach – Udine – Pordenone – Conegliano – Treviso – Venice
Nightjet: Stuttgart – Ulm – Augsburg – Munich – Salzburg – Udine – Pordenone – Conegliano – Treviso – Venice
EuroCity: Munich – Innsbruck – Bolzano/Bozen – Verona – Padova – Venice

The Railjet, the most modern ÖBB train, connects Vienna to Venice twice a day and offers high-speed (up to 230 km/h), comfort, an elegant design, state of the art equipment and a brand new service concept. Seats are available in Business Class, First Class or Economy Class. Railjet’s board restaurant offers a great choice of drinks, traditional Austrian food and international specialties.

The Nightjet, ÖBB’s daily night train, connects Vienna and Stuttgart/Munich to Venice in one night, allowing passengers to rest. This night train offers very comfortable compartments with couchettes and sleeper cabins. The Nightjet offers a personalised service for each customer: for example, women travelling alone can book sleeper accommodation in a female-only compartment. The EuroCity connects Germany and Austria with Italy. There is a daily connection to/from Venice. On weekends there are even two trains. Passengers will find air-conditioned open cars as well as compartment cars in the First and Second Class. A mobile on-board service offers food and beverages.
