Patti Smith chooses St. Mark’s Square for her only summer date in Italy in 2025, July 7, 9 p.m., as part of the Festival della Bellezza. The eclectic and charismatic U.S. artist with more than 50 years of career behind her will offer in the iconic Venetian square her masterpieces that have made rock history and passionate generations of fans around the world.

The “Patti Smith in Venice” event is part of the program of the 12th edition of the Festival della Bellezza (Festival of Beauty), which in 2025 has the theme “The Wonder.” Conceived around the idea of “Art in Art,” an international unicum, the Festival della Bellezza will be staged in 30 symbolic places of Italy’s historical-artistic heritage from the 6th century B.C. to the 20th century. Promoted by the Veneto Region among the “Great Events,” it is organized by the association Idem with the conception and artistic direction of Alcide Marchioro.
